A striking, wall-mounted alternative to a bubble tube, the Southpaw Bubble Wall fills your sensory room with slow-rising bubbles and rich, colour-changing light—now in a warm birch plywood frame and fully compatible with Southpaw MSE 2.0 controls. It offers room-wide synchronisation via Power Cube, Super Switch, Master Switch and Programming Switch.

Why choose a Bubble Wall for your sensory room?

Compared with a bubble tube, a Bubble Wall has a slim footprint and sits neatly against the wall—ideal where floor space, durability or safeguarding are priorities—while still providing vivid visual tracking opportunities and calming ambient light.

MSE 2.0: One-touch control across the whole room

Southpaw MSE 2.0 is a scalable, room-wide interactive ecosystem that lets your team orchestrate lighting and feedback across multiple devices. Start with a single Bubble Wall and grow into a fully synced space. Intuitive controllers make engagement effortless while building cause-and-effect, choice-making and participation. Run calming ambient cycles or responsive programmes—engineered for daily use in schools, clinics and therapy rooms.

Compatible controllers (examples):

  • Super Switch — eight engaging modes for switch progression, colour change and responsiveness. Link

  • Master Switch — lead focused sessions by syncing or isolating interactive products as required. Link

  • Power Cube — a playful, turn-to-choose colour controller that can change multiple interactive products at once. Link

Therapeutic benefits (from an OT & Sensory Integration perspective)

  • Supports sensory modulation and self-regulation: adjustable brightness/colour and predictable bubble flow can help settle arousal, reduce anxiety and prepare for learning or assessment. Evidence summaries of multi-sensory environments note relaxation and attention benefits when used thoughtfully.

  • Builds cause-and-effect and choice-making: pairing the Bubble Wall with Super Switch or Power Cube enables clear, immediate feedback—ideal for early switch work, participation and communication opportunities.

  • Encourages visual tracking and attention: the continuous rise of bubbles and colour transitions provide salient visual cues for sustained and selective attention during sessions.

  • Aligns with Ayres Sensory Integration® principles when used as part of active, child-led sessions that offer ‘just-right’ challenges and invite an adaptive response (e.g., reaching, pressing, turning, waiting, choosing). Durable skill gains are best achieved when equipment is integrated into a therapist-delivered programme that follows the ASI Fidelity Measure

Where it fits: intended for schools (SEND classrooms, nurture bases), clinics, hospitals, therapy rooms, and multi-sensory environments at home—anywhere a space needs calming visual input with optional user control (sensory room equipment, sensory products, special needs equipment).

Use cases & sensory room ideas

  • Calming corner: run soft ambient cycles during transitions to help pupils regroup between activities (school sensory room ideas).

  • Choice-making station: combine with Power Cube for visible “pick your colour” routines (sensory integration ideas).

  • Group sessions: use Master Switch to keep the Bubble Wall responsive while dimming other interactive devices for a distraction-free focus (multi-sensory room ideas).

MSE 2.0 update

Our Bubble Walls are now updated to sync with our new MSE 2.0 equipment, which is a scalable, room-wide interactive ecosystem that lets your team orchestrate lighting and feedback across multiple devices with one-touch control - start with a single Bubble Wall and grow into a fully synced space.

Our intuitive controllers make engagement effortless while building cause-and-effect, choice-making, and participation. Run calming ambient cycles or responsive programs, all engineered for daily use in schools, clinics, and therapy rooms.

Our well-designed multi-sensory environments are used to support relaxation, reduce anxiety, and improve attention by letting practitioners shape input and giving users meaningful control.

Installation & care

Fix to a suitable wall surface using appropriate anchors; allow safe access for topping up/conditioning water. For integrated projects, pair the Bubble Wall with other sensory room equipment (e.g., fibre optics, interactive panels) and coordinate through MSE 2.0 for a cohesive, room-wide experience (sensory room ideas, sensory therapeutic resources).
