Master Switch - Sensory Room Control - Special Needs Switch

The Master Switch has been designed to allow the user the choice of control and usage of their environment. The switch allows the option of three modes, once you select your mode of choice all interactive equipment within the room will respond accordingly. Wall mountable.

The Master switch gives 3 separate and effective ways to use your Multi-Sensory Environment, each allowing a different approach depending on the desired outcomes. Before any mode is selected, as the practitioner switches on the Southpaw equipment, they are presented with a dim white room or a "blank canvas" to allow the environment to be adapted to meet the needs of the client, regardless of the level of arousal. This control allows the practitioner to be more focused on the Multi-Sensory tools available to them, leading to a more effective and outcome based sessions.

MSE 2.0 update

Our Master Switches are now updated as part of Southpaw's new MSE 2.0 equipment, which is a scalable, room-wide interactive ecosystem that lets your team orchestrate lighting and feedback across multiple devices with one-touch control - start with a single Bubble Tube or Light Source and grow into a fully synced space. 

Our intuitive controllers make engagement effortless while building cause-and-effect,  choice-making, and participation. Run calming ambient cycles or simple responsive programs, all engineered for daily use in schools and clinics. Our well-designed multi-sensory environments are used to support relaxation, reduce anxiety, and improve attention by letting practitioners shape input and giving users meaningful control.

Getting familiar with Southpaw MSE 2.0 Interactive Products

Southpaw MSE 2.0 is a scalable interactive system for multi-sensory rooms. Devices start in dim white to keep the atmosphere calm. Press and hold the PAW button for 5 seconds to toggle between Relaxation (slow colour cycle) and Standby.


Link your devices once to the Master Switch, then you can use:

• AUTO for a passive, room-wide ambience,
• CONTROL to take over with PowerCube or Super Switch
• SYNC to return everything to Standby.

Auto mode

This mode is ideal if there are more than one user in the environment and a steady cycling of colours is desired to create a relaxing ambience. All the Interactive equipment will gradually fade through the spectrum. In this mode the Remote Switch can be used to override the equipment, so the room can be set as desired.

Sync mode

This gives the practitioner the ability to sync with individual interactive products and lead a very focused, distraction free session while the other Interactive products remain a dim white.

Control mode

This mode is great if you want a level of interaction and switch progression across the entire range of Interactive products at the same time. Use our Super Switch and select your desired mode and see the room change or use the Power Cube as a group activity to change the room colour.
